Overseas Processing Business

Our overseas processing business sells processed seafood products manufactured
at overseas factories both domestically and internationally.
Our main products include raw salmon sushi toppings, pre-cooked grilled fish, and simmered fish (salmon, mackerel).
Raw materials are sourced from our own aquaculture operations, as well as procured directly
by our procurement staff from around the world.
Currently, our overseas processing operations are based in
Myanmar (our wholly-owned subsidiary: Okamura Trading Myanmar) and Vietnam (contracted facility).

Myanmar's first raw food plant with strict quality and hygiene control

The Myanmar subsidiary was established in 2017 as the country's first raw food plant in the Tirawa Special Economic Zone, where infrastructure is well developed. It has introduced the latest technology for quality control, and a Japanese expatriate has built up sanitary and other controls from scratch, and is now an important processing base for our group.

In 2003 we established a partnership with a cooperative factory in Vietnam. We dispatched our manufacturing manager at the time to impart expertise in producing processed seafood products for the Japanese market. We have built a strong relationship that continues to this day.
