Safety and quality policy
As a food company, safety is the top priority. We have emphasized the importance of safety and security in our manufacturing since its founding. Overseas, Japanese managers and local employees work together to achieve Japanese quality. We prioritize safety and quality.
Safety foods policy
- 1. We provide value-added and safe products and services tailored to your needs.
- 2. We comply with laws and regulations.
- 3. We shall establish a food safety management system and regularly review the system for continuous improvement.
- 4. We will make the rules and procedures based on the food safety management system known within the company and communicate information related to food safety in a bidirectional manner with related companies outside the company.
- 5. We will ensure that all employees are informed of our food safety policy and systematically trained to continually improve their awareness and knowledge of food safety issues.
Safety and quality Initiatives
Our group has three main food processing bases, the Aomori factories, Okamura Trading Myanmar, and the Vietnam factory (OEM). Even though products are made overseas, we produce our foods to be "Made by Japan" with Japanese-style methods, improvement plans, and great care of work.

Aomori Factories
More than a dozen plant managers play a central role in ensuring the safety and security of the plant. In addition, a quality control office controls product quality independently of the production department.

Myanmar factory
Japanese and local factory managers play a central role in being committed to the safety and security of our factories. They always communicate with members of quality control units in Japan through online meetings or business travel.

Vietnam factory (OEM)
We founded the Vietnam company on the grounds of an OEM factory. This company is a subsidiary of group. Employees including some members from Japan are committed to the safety and security of Okamura Trading Vietnam. Also, members in Japan check the results about quality.

We make an effort to obtain every certification and promote an assurance system that can provide safer food products.

Safety and Security at our factory in Myanmar
In 2017, we established the Myanmar factory that is a subsidiary of our group in the Thilawa Special Economic Zone. We started processing sushi toppings(Salmon Trout) in December of 2018. We have expanded production since then.
The device for microorganism testing was introduced into this factory. Products are brought into the laboratory and undergo a bacteria test. Then, we ship products that meet the quality testing standards.
Also, we have introduced state-of-the-art equipment. For example, a water treatment system that inhibits the growth of fungus and filters out impurities, the Sanistar water electrolysis system works to limit the chlorine odor, setting at 17 degrees in an airtight clean room because of high temperature and humidity environment, constant supply of chiller water maintained at an effective temperature for quality preservation, rapid-freezing apparatus and door with touch sensor that prevents contamination.

Water electrolysis system of sanistar
We introduce water electrolysis system called sanistar in Myanmar factory. Many food factory use sodium hypochlorite solution. However, this this sanistar works to limit the chlorine odor and damage to foods.

Always set at 17 degrees in clean room
We set at 17 degrees in airtight clean room because of high temperature and humidity environment. All employees start working after sterilizing their hands, apron and all equipments, and they keep clean by disinfection every hour.

Chiller water system
In order to maintain product quality, we have installed a cold water production system so that cold water can be supplied to each processing room. This allows us to process products while maintaining a constant low temperature and high quality.

Rapid-freezing apparatus
The low temperature cold air freezes the product rapidly.
